A new documentary by the director (Laura Poitras) of the impressive Citizen Four (the 2014 doc about Edward Snowden) that explores the life and thoughts of WikiLeak’s founder, Julian Assange. Hero to some, villain to others, Assange is a difficult character, a vain man, subject to delusions of grandeur, who wants to make the world a freer place, using methods that many find immoral (if not illegal). I found the movie interesting for some of the time, but it was hard to become engaged with Assange. Maybe you’ll feel differently.
