Baseem Youseff has been called Egypt’s Jon Stewart for his biting political commentary and humour, and it’s easy to see why (although Youseff used to practice, of all things, as a heart surgeon). However, unlike for Stewart, Egypt’s rulers did not take kindly to the humour. This documentary will have you laugh at the Youseff’s joke as well as be heart-broken at what the powers that be do his him and his show. Highly relevant and an interesting look at political satire in a country ruled by a dictators.
