Human Flow

The ads for this documentary (by the celebrated Chinese artist Ai Weiwei) about the tens of millions of people around the globe displaced and on the run from conflict and famine use the word “epic,” a word often misused but perfectly apt in this instance.  Ai Weiwei and his talented camera crew travelled the world and captured the despair, and sometimes hope, in the faces of the displaced.  This is a film with few words, and all the more powerful for it. The imagery will stick with you for a long time. (Some subtitles.)
