Another successful outing for the creative folks at Marvel Studios. This time Chris Hemsworth plants tongue firmly in cheek to have a large load of fun as a superhero, apparently saving some civilization or another. Honestly, I didn’t know any of the back story for Thor — am I the only one? — and I didn’t much care. I just went along for an entertaining ride — witty dialogue, some good CGI — at least for most of it; a little too long — at 130 minutes — for my taste. Decent popcorn flick.
