Faces, Places

  • Post category:.

A charming and contemplative documentary about an aging French film legend (approaching 90 years of age) and a young “visual artist” who travel to small town France to chat with everyday folks, and take their pictures in a specially outfitted small van which prints out mural size photos, which the duo then proceed to plaster on buildings, trains, etc. That’s pretty much it.  It’s about listening to people tell of how their lives, and their towns, have changed over the years, and about doing something to ensure that their voices and faces are not lost to history.  (Subtitles.)
