The true story of Molly Bloom (well played by Jessica Chastain), a once top competitive US skier whose skiing career was sadly derailed by a freak accident, who ends up running very high stakes and exclusive poker games in L.A. and NYC, and eventually comes to the attention of the FBI — things don’t end well for Molly. This film is what I would expect of one written (and directed) by Aaron Sorkin — rapid fire, sharp and witty dialogue, perhaps too much so to be realistic. But this is a fun movie, if a bit too long (at 2 hr and 20 min), and another of the “you can’t make up stuff like this” genre.
