A very dark and disturbing story of a very traumatized (although I’m not exactly sure why) army veteran (scarily portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix) who devotes his life to tracking down (for a price, of course) missing girls in the U.S, leaving death and destruction — caused with common household objects, no less — in his wake. There’s not that much dialogue, the story doesn’t move in a straight line, and we don’t really learn much about Joaquin’s character, but it sure is stylish. Definitely not for the faint (or sort of faint) of heart.
