I wasn’t planning to watch this film until I read a few positive reviews from critics. Oh well, sometimes the critics are just wrong. The story is about a wealthy French businessman taking his American mistress on a safari weekend — shot in Morocco — and the violence that results after the guy’s two crass friends crash the party. Yes, the woman is assaulted and takes revenge in gruesome and bloody ways. Don’t believe anyone who tells you this is a story of female empowerment.
