The Third Murder

  • Post category:.

A slow-burning Japanese film about what we first believe to be an open-and-shut murder case involving a man convicted decades ago for another murder, the victim’s family and duelling lawyers.  However, perhaps not everything is as clear cut as we think.  Some good courtroom scenes, interesting characters, and good acting, especially by lead Koji Yakusho, but overall just an ok film that I may not recall much of months from now.  (Subtitles.)
