Rick Kelly, from his cluttered Greenwich Village store, together with a young female apprentice, custom makes guitars (out of reclaimed wood). (Rick’s mom also helps out in the store occasionally.) Customers have included Lou Reed and Bob Dylan. This documentary is straightforward: guitar aficionados come into the store and talk with Rick, tell stories, and play a guitar. Simple as that, but also wonderful. An intimate moment with a master craftsman and his very appreciative admirers. Prepare to be charmed.
