Amazing Grace

In the summer of 1972, the incredibly talented singer Aretha Franklin joined the Reverend (and gospel singer) James Cleveland and the Southern California Community Choir in a small L.A. church for an incredible two nights of spirit-awakening music.  An album of those two nights became the biggest selling gospel album of all times, but (the late director) Sydney Pollack’s film of those nights never came together because of technical problems.  However, in recent years, record producer Alan Elliott was able to restore the footage, to our great benefit.  I challenge you not to be moved by voices that can reach the heavens.  Uplifting and moving.
