Seth Rogan, as an out-of-work self-righteous journalist (playing the usual tiresome Seth Rogan type of character), and Charlize Theron as a US Secretary of State who just happens to need a writer, become a mismatched couple in a story that is intermittingly funny but mostly clichéd and too ridiculous to believe. The only good thing about it is Theron’s screen presence — the camera loves her — which, alas, is not sufficient this time out.
